Be Bold. Dream.
Transform. Achieve.
About The Agnews & Our Future Partnership
I am Dr. Valencia Agnew. I am privileged enough to have the titles of the Giants Eugene Browning Medical Service Award recipient, Woman of the Year by West Michigan Magazine, Top Women Owned Business by the Grand Rapids Business Journal, and owner of three mental health practices in Michigan. While this all seems good on paper, life has the tendency to have an iceberg effect in which we only see the peak poking out of the water and miss the several layers of ice lurking underneath. My iceberg includes decades of hard-fought lessons, struggles, barriers, tears, joy, and everything in between. There is an advantage in sitting down with someone who’s been where you are and walked the road to where you want to be.
I started my professional career with a business management degree. With that, I worked ten years in accounting as a junior controller and as an accountant at a private firm before going back to school and obtaining my masters and doctorate in psychology. I began my private practice journey after working in the hospital and a community agency, and later served on the Michigan board of psychology. My private practice, Adolescent & Family Behavioral Health Services, has grown from just me to three locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, and Saginaw within ten years.
Success, balance, and sustainability take time and careful intention to build into the result we see manifested in other’s lives. Throughout my twenty-plus years of practicing psychology in various mental health settings, all leading to the leap of faith it took to open my own, I have gained invaluable insights that I want to share with you. Together we will build self-awareness in strategic sessions, overcome obstacles, and tackle doubt with each of my components of building and maintaining peace and prosperity with your business.
There are no shortcuts to success but there are smart investments we can make in ourselves from the resources around us and then use that wisdom as a springboard to our dreams. Let’s launch together with emotional, mental, and professional health so you can enjoy your business and your life. That’s the Agnew Advantage.

My Team
My name is Paige Agnew. I am an accredited enneagram practitioner through the Integrative 9 and I have worked in the mental health field for 11 years. In coaching I am passionate about leading others on a journey of self-discovery with validation, wisdom, and tools for the road ahead. There are few things braver than being willing to look within and celebrate all the parts of yourself, the good and the bad, and to choose growth.
I believe the enneagram is one of the best resources to facilitate that. I am a lifelong learner, whether it is opening a book or traveling to immerse myself into new countries, cultures, and systems. I’m a strong believer that food teaches us the best lessons, that knowledge is meant to be shared, and that the Detroit Lions can and will win a Super Bowl someday. And if that can happen, so can anything else.
